New director steps in as Health Sciences building nears completion

Construction transforming the old Community Hospital campus to a new home for the Health Sciences program is in the homestretch. The renovation and construction of new facilities are not the only big change to this program, this month the Health Sciences program also received a new director, Sandie Nadelson, PhD.

CMU professor chosen as a Colorado Governors Fellow

Professor of Biology Aparna Palmer, PhD, will join executives and leaders from businesses and organizations like Xcel Energy, the City of Boulder, the Seattle Fish Company and the Boettcher Foundation as one of twenty-four 2017-2018 Colorado Governors Fellows. She is the first professor chosen as a fellow in the programs two-year history.

New director aims to increase research opportunities

New CMU Director of Sponsored Programs and Academic Research Louis Nadelson, PhD, walks the talk. He has been awarded almost $10 million in grants during the past nine years. That total may soon increase from his $600,000 in submitted grants currently under review.
