New and continuing students with financial need may be eligible for the Colorado Opportunity Scholarship. This is a state-funded grant that promotes student access to higher education and student success through scholarships and academic support.
There is pool of funds available to CMU Montrose. Individual awards for students may be as high as $1,000 per semester. To receive the scholarship students must be:
- Residents of Montrose County
- Have a high school or CMU grade point average of 2.5 or higher
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and demonstrate financial need
- Take a minimum of 12 credits of classes per semester during the academic year
