About Me
I grew up in central Iowa (Ames to be precise). I swam competitively and played water polo for Grinnell College, a small liberal arts school in Grinnell, Iowa. I graduated from Grinnell with a degree in German and Linguistics, and eventually went on to earn a Master's Degree in Higher Education - Student Affairs from Iowa State University. In Grad School I worked in the International Students and Scholars Office at ISU, which is where I found my own niche within the student services world.
What I love about Grand Junction
The best part about living in Grand Junction is how close to are to just about any kind of outdoor recreation, whether you like hiking, biking, paddling or snowsports. I tell people who visit that all you have to do is go 20-30 minutes in any direction and you will find something new to do outdoors.
When I'm not on an adventure outdoors, you can probably find me downtown in Grand Junction, watching CMU sports, or hanging out at Hot Tomato in Fruita (best pizza in the Grand Valley without a doubt).
