Mesa County Valley School District 51 students have a unique opportunity to take a variety of college classes while attending high school. College classes offered by Colorado Mesa University (CMU) and CMU Tech are free to District 51 high school students. Tuition is paid for by School District 51 at a discounted rate from CMU.

Taking college and high school classes concurrently enables students to get a jump on their college and career goals by receiving free college credit and even earning a technical certificate or degree to begin working right out of high school.
