Chef Beth is the instructor for the concurrent high school program in the Culinary Arts program at CMU Tech. She currently teaches culinary program fundamentals, introduction to sustainable cuisine, safety and sanitation, introduction to foods, center of the plate and introduction to baking. She has previously taught cake decorating and presenting, and advanced baking in CMU Tech's Baking and Pastry program.

Chef Beth encourages her high school students to develop a passion for good food and food safety in her through hands-on experience and during special events hosted by the Culinary Arts program. She believes her students are the future of food production in western Colorado and she is very proud of the hard work they accomplish every day. 

Before joining the CMU Tech faculty, she worked at restaurants across Colorado, Missouri and Arkansas. She also spent many years working in student affairs at the University of Central Missouri, the University of Arkansas and the University of California at Riverside. She loves working with college students and working with food and teaching culinary arts is her dream job.

She is a member of the American Culinary Federation. And in her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, going to concerts, spending time with friends and traveling.
