Allison Vogel is the Program Director for the Pharmacy Technician Program at CMU Tech.
Before joining the faculty at CMU Tech, she worked in the community pharmacy industry beginning in 1993. She started out as a pharmacy cashier and ended her 21-year career in the field as a pharmacy support specialist. She has been a nationally certified pharmacy technician since 1998. Vogel discovered her passion for teaching when she began to teach review classes that helped pharmacy technicians prepare to take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam, so she returned to college to get her master's degree in education, with an emphasis in secondary science. She is excited to share her knowledge and experience with future generations of pharmacy technicians as they begin their careers in health care.
Vogel is a member of the Colorado Pharmacist Society, the American Pharmacists Association and the Pharmacy Technician Educators Council. She serves on the Teacher to Teacher committee at CMU and is a member of the CMU Tech Council. She is also a volunter advocate for Donor Alliance.
She has lived in Grand Junction most of her life and enjoys all things pertaining to the outdoors. In her free time, Vogel loves to camp, hike, bike, paddleboard, do yoga, go to concerts and travel, while joined by her husband, daughter, and dogs.
