The first 250 eligible students who open a checking account by April 30 will receive $100
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Canvas Credit Union, the official credit union of Colorado Mesa University, is offering eligible students $100 when they open a new checking account online through a limited-time promotion as part of CMU’s Centennial Celebration.
The promotion is available through April 30, 2026, and is open to the first 250 CMU students who use the promotional link to open a new account. Eligible students who complete the process will receive a $100 deposit in their new checking account within one week. The promotion is designed to make opening an account easier and more accessible for students by allowing the process to be completed fully online, including for those with out-of-state identification.
Students can complete the application in five to 15 minutes online. To apply, students will need to provide a government-issued ID, Social Security number, proof of enrollment at CMU and a cell phone number for verification.
The promotion is open only to CMU students age 18 and older and is not available to faculty or staff. Limit one offer per person.
