Kicking off a Month of Maverick Spirit and Community Engagement

October is Mav Month, and this year CMU is celebrating to the max. From athletic games to performing arts experiences, CMU Century celebrations and It’s Just the Beginning Homecoming, there's an event for everyone this month. Celebrate the Maverick spirit with us throughout October, during our most historic Mav Month yet.

Description: It's just the beginning of our Century Celebration. Show your Maverick Spirit on Oct 22nd by dressing in your favorite decade from the 1920's to the 2020's! Post a picture on your Facebook or Instagram and tag CMU Alumni for a chance to win. Voting for best costumes will take place on CMU Alumni social media channels. We'll bring all of the decades together at Arcadia to announce winners! 

  • Community Spirit Contest

Description: Help us paint the town MAVroon and celebrate 100 years of Maverick Spirit! Join CMU's Mav Month Community Spirit Decorating project, showcasing CMU through the decades. Participating businesses decorate their storefronts and offices with CMU-themed decorations, fostering a sense of community and school spirit. The contest is part of the broader Mav Month celebrations, and winners are recognized for their creativity and enthusiasm. There are no limits to what you can do! Decorate, then tag CMU Alumni on social media. We will choose community winners during our Oct 22nd Spirit Day. 

October 23 – Homecoming Week
