The new partnership ensures quality child care services for CMU students, faculty and staff
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Colorado Mesa University (CMU) has partnered with Access Early Education Foundation (AEEF) to provide high-quality childcare services to CMU students, faculty and staff through the newly launched Little Adventures Child Care Center.
AEEF operates several childcare centers across the Western Slope and is led by Executive Director Jennifer Knott, who has more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education. Each center is designed to support working families through developmentally focused care.
"Our mission at Little Adventures Child Care Center is to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow and thrive. We’re committed to supporting each child’s unique development through engaging activities, quality care and a focus on their social, emotional, cognitive and physical well-being. I’m honored to have this opportunity to support the students and faculty at CMU with their childcare needs and am looking forward to serving families in our community,” said Jennifer Knott, Executive Director of Access Early Education Foundation.
Through this new partnership, CMU continues to expand support services that help students and employees balance academic and professional responsibilities with family life. The addition of Little Adventures on campus provides convenient, reliable childcare for the CMU community while ensuring children receive enriching early childhood education opportunities in a safe and engaging environment.
To celebrate the launch, Little Adventures will host its inaugural Trick or Treat Walk on Friday, October 31. CMU students, faculty and staff are invited to join in the fun by setting up outside at designated locations along the route (pictured below) between 11 am and 12 pm.
Candy should be handed to teachers for safe distribution based on allergies, and treats containing nuts or nut products should be avoided. Non-food items like stickers, pencils, small toys, plastic jewelry, crayons, temporary tattoos, or bookmarks are also welcome and can be placed in each child’s trick-or-treat bucket.
