On Sept. 24, 2026, Colorado Mesa University and Wildflower Entertainment will be hosting the first ever Dinner on the Diamond. With this being one of the largest fundraisers, Dinner on the Diamond combines fine dining with live music to help raise support for the CMU Baseball team and future CMU student-athletes.
As the 2026-27 school year begins, Colorado Mesa University embraces the idea of growth and change by building what’s next. New structures and spaces around campus invite students to join the community and show what it truly means to be a Maverick. One of the most visible examples of this is Hamilton Ballpark. Built in 2022, it honors Jamie Hamilton, a CMU alumni and student-athlete who believed in the idea of paying it forward to bring new opportunities to others. Dinner on the Diamond celebrates that spirit by turning the ballpark into a unique venue where attendees can enjoy an evening of dinner and live music on the field itself.
Being the first of its kind hosted by CMU, this event marks an exciting milestone for the university. CMU has invited nationally recognized country and rock artists Emerson Hart, Jake Hoot, Kruse Brothers and Allie Colleen to perform. During dinner, guests will enjoy an acoustic session, followed by a concert featuring rock and country music, all within the unique setting of Hamilton Ballpark. Dinner on the Diamond represents a new chapter in campus events, bringing together athletics, entertainment and community support in a single evening.
Guests can choose from a variety of ticket packages, each offering a different way to experience the evening. Concert Only General Admission tickets provide access to the concert stadium seating at 7:30 pm. Anyone looking to enhance their evening can purchase an Individual Ticket, which includes the fine dining experience followed by the concert. A Table Sponsor ticket includes access to a premium on-field table for dinner, prime concert viewing and a VIP meet and greet after the concert. Both dinner ticket options also include access to the open bar.
This event is made possible through a partnership with Wildflower Entertainment, and our sponsors: Restoration Vineyards, Quality Meats, Central Distributing, High Country Beverage and Timberline Bank. Community support has always played a role in the success of CMU Athletics, and partnerships like this help to create memorable experiences for students, athletes and supporters. Through the generosity of the community, Dinner on the Diamond offers a chance for people to come together, enjoy the art of music and celebrate the spirit of Colorado Mesa University.
Dinner on the Diamond does more than bring the community together for good food and live music. Proceeds from this event directly benefit CMU Baseball, helping to create new opportunities for current and future athletes. This inaugural event combines music and community to create a memorable evening that shows the heart of Colorado Mesa University.
