On Tuesday, Oct. 20 Littleton Public Schools (LPS) and Colorado Mesa University (CMU) hosted an MOU signing ceremony launching a new guaranteed admission partnership.
The agreement creates a direct pathway for qualifying LPS students to earn guaranteed admission and automatic application fee waivers at CMU via tiers, removing traditional hurdles to higher education and providing clear post-secondary opportunities for local high schoolers.
This signing event brought together CMU executive staff, LPS leadership and a group of local high school students exploring options at CMU. Kicking off during Colorado Free Application Days (Oct. 20–22) and CMU Free Application Week (Oct. 19–25), this partnership will provide guaranteed admission tiers for LPS juniors and seniors based on GPA, automatically waive application fees and assign dedicated CMU admissions staff to LPS high schools for workshops, financial aid support and campus visit coordination.
"We are pleased to partner with Littleton Public Schools to offer guaranteed admission for their students," said CMU President John Marshall. "Making this partnership announcement during CMU's Free Application Week is just another example of breaking down barriers that may hold students back from pursuing higher education. At CMU, we want students to know that they can find opportunity at CMU at an affordable cost."
