Student Showcase to feature 362 presentations and a record 806 participating students
Colorado Mesa University will celebrate students' courage, innovation, research and creativity during the 2025 Student Showcase, featuring 362 presentations and a record 806 participating students. The annual campus-wide event will be held on Friday, May 2, and will highlight the diverse achievements of CMU and CMU Tech students.
The Student Showcase is one of CMU’s most anticipated academic traditions that provides a platform for students from every discipline to present their work to the campus community, industry professionals and the broader community.
“The Student Showcase is an incredible opportunity for our undergraduate and graduate level students from both the main campus and CMU Tech to showcase their capstone projects and their hard work. It is an opportunity for the campus faculty, staff, and students and the greater campus community to celebrate the scholarship and creative endeavors of our students,” said CMU Assistant Vice President for Faculty Success Chad Middleton, PhD.
This year’s Showcase includes 34 projects from CMU Tech, which will be featured on CMU’s main campus — a continuing effort to elevate the trades and to foster collaboration between programs.
New to the 2025 Showcase are CMU’s two mobile learning labs, featuring state-of-the-art equipment in mechatronics and welding. Stationed next to the Plaza, the mobile labs offer hands-on demonstrations and a glimpse into how CMU Tech is expanding access to career and technical education throughout western Colorado.
The event is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to visit the wide variety of presentations spread throughout campus. For more information, including a full schedule and map, visit coloradomesa.edu/showcase.
