Colorado Mesa University Celebrates Entrepreneurship Day with Keynote Speaker Corey Ciocchetti, Networking Event and More

On May 2, Colorado Mesa University will host its Sixteenth Annual Entrepreneurship Day (E-Day) with the theme, Be a Leader You Would Follow, featuring award-winning teacher and speaker Corey Ciocchetti.

Ciocchetti teaches classes on business law and ethics at the University of Denver. He is a Colorado native and speaks to tens of thousands of individuals each year about authentic success and living an ethical life. He has spoken to diverse audiences in over 300 cities and 47 states and is the author of the book Inspire Integrity: Chase An Authentic Life.

“Corey is a truly a gifted speaker with the ability to make you stop and evaluate your priorities in life. His message is relevant, funny and will give you a new outlook on how to handle tough decisions. Corey will leave you with the drive to want to be more,” said CMU Foundation Chief Operating Officer Tina Kleespies.

Ciocchetti joined DU after graduating with a law degree from Duke University School of Law, a master’s degree in Religious Studies and two bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Economics from the University of Denver.

Every year, CMU brings a guest speaker to campus for E-Day to celebrate creativity and innovation, and to provide knowledge and insight from experts on building a business and paving a path to success. It’s also an opportunity for students, alumni and community members to come together to recognize entrepreneurship and the economic and community benefits that come with it.

The morning session is a panel discussion titled Be True to Your Brand. The event will take place in Dominguez Hall, room 111.

The E-Day Luncheon with keynote from Ciocchetti kicks off at noon in the Meyer Ballroom with the networking happy hour from 4-6pm at The Point in the University Center.
