This episode of CMUnow on KAFM features Assistant Professor of Dance Amanda Benzin, and Dr. Kathleen Hall, PhD, certified adult and geriatric nurse practitioner and Dr. Bridget Marshall, DNP, certified pediatric nurse practitioner, who are also the co-coordinators of the graduate nursing program.

Benzin has an impressive background including two degrees and a long resume as a performer and choreographer. She discusses her past experiences and how those translate to teaching CMU students. She discusses the dance program at CMU and the fall dance production called “Discovering Me.” Benzin’s segment finishes with a discussion about what sets CMU’s dance program a part from other colleges and universities, and what a few dance alumni are up to nowadays.

Dr. Hall and Dr. Marshall go in depth in this interview on the graduate nursing programs offered at CMU and why they were created. They discuss the differences between a family nurse practitioner and a doctor, and the difference between the CMU family nurse practitioner program and CMU’s physician assistant program.
