CMU Department of Business pushes down hunger by packing up food for kids

The Colorado Mesa University Department of Business will volunteer at the Kids Aid Backpack Program on Friday, September 13 from 12-2pm. The community event will occur at 2978 Gunnison Ave and includes CMU staff, business faculty and students working together to eliminate hunger in the Grand Valley. 

Food item were donated from around campus through September and each backpack will include:

  • 1 fruit cup
  • Instant oatmeal
  • 1 pudding cup
  • 1 can of beef ravioli
  • 1 can of chili with beans
  • 1 cereal bar
  • 1 granola bar
  • 1 package of macaroni & cheese
  • 1 package of Ramen Noodle Soup
  • Package of cookies
  • Package of crackers
  • Fresh apple or orange (pending availability)

Kids Aid is a non-profit organization whose vision sees a future where no child experiences hunger in Mesa County.
