Each year since 2011, with the exception of 2017 and 2021, the Hutchins Water Center has organized a 3-evening Water Course, which is open to the public.  The course covers the basics of Colorado water law and hydrology, as well as current water management challenges.

2023 Natural Resources Seminar Course

The Hutchins Water Center has teamed up with Colorado Mesa University's Environmental Science and Technology department to present the 2023 Natural Resources Seminar Series. All encompassing, this course will cover topics related to natural resources in the Western US, including water, soil, land, mineral, and energy. Guest speakers are invited from industry, government agencies, and the academic community to give formal oral presentations followed by informal discussion with students, the community, and faculty. This seminar series is free and open to students and the community. Come to just one or all of these informative presentations.
