Suicide Prevention

Colorado Mesa University is committed to promoting a safe and healthy campus. This intervention tool is designed to follow national best practices of suicide intervention as it appears in current mental health literature. This protocol has been developed by a team comprised of students, scholars and practitioners within the university.

The screening tool is used as the minimum standard to complete a risk assessment by a linsenced provider. All students who are at risk for suicide will have a wrap around support, as outlined in a "Wellness Plan" to assure their safety on campus.
