You can also view My Tasks in MAVzone to see if CMU is waiting for you to complete important Next Steps requirements.

To confirm your spot in the incoming class, there are a few more steps to complete.

In particular, don’t forget to

  • Confirm that you will be attending CMU by submitting your $50 enrollment deposit via credit card or electronic check.
  • Verify your tuition classification status. If it’s not what you expected, contact the Admissions Office at 970.248.1875 to discuss.
  • Request final transcripts. If you applied to CMU before completing high school or a college semester, or if you have high school AP, IB or any college credit to transfer, please contact your school and request that your final transcript is mailed directly to the Admissions Office, at: Colorado Mesa University Admissions Office, 1100 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO 81501

If you have not already, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Colorado Mesa University's code is 001358. You will need a copy of the prior, prior year's federal tax return and W2 statements to complete the online application.

You will receive a letter notifying you of what financial aid you have been awarded. Check your My Tasks on your MAVzone for any next steps regarding financial aid.

In order to be eligible for Federal Student Loans, students must enroll in/complete a minimum of six (6) credit hours between the two starts each semester January/March (spring semester) and August/October (fall semester). Please refer to the Terms and Conditions of Financial Aid to gain a full understanding of the requirements.

  • View and accept your Financial Aid award. If you are offered loans, you may accept all or part of each loan. If you only wish a portion, state that amount under Accept Partial Amount. Students accepting loans must complete a Master Promissory Note and Entrance Loan Counseling.
  • Log onto MAVzone, go to My Tasks and look for Financial Aid tasks to check for correspondence from the Financial Aid Office. We may need additional documentation to process your aid. You may also call us.

  • Review the RN to BSN Program Sheet as well as the suggested course plan.
  • Schedule an appointment to receive one-on-one academic guidance. An adviser will walk you through the courses required for graduation, courses available in upcoming start dates and the most appropriate courses for you to enroll in given your previous academic experience. Call 970.248.1398 to schedule an appointment.
  • Please note that course offerings and availability are announced approximately eight weeks before each semester (late October for Spring I and Spring II start dates and late March for Summer I, Fall I and Fall II start dates.)
  • Once you have set up your MAVzone account, compare your courses (use the DegreeWorks app to see what is still needed and what is completed) and determine your plan for completing the RN to BSN online program.

From MAVzone, open Student Drop Down and select Unofficial and then All Levels. You may also find your transfer credit within DegreeWorks. Accepted transfer courses will be listed in yur degree audit. A green check box indicates the transfer course satisfies a specific degree requirement. All non-specified classes will be in the electives category at the bottom of the report.

If transfer credits are incomplete or missing, please be patient. They will be viewable shortly.

For questions regarding non-nursing transfer credits, please contact the Registrar's Office by emailing or calling 970.248.1216 and asking for the Transfer Manager.

Note: Conditional admits to this program will not have transfer credits posted until full admittance is granted.

From the MAVzone Dashboard, select the Register for Classes App, click on Look up Classes under the Registration Tools section and select the term you wish to register for.

You can view your schedule by selecting My Account, Courses, Concise Student Schedule.

Contact the Registrar's Office at 970.248.1216 for further assistance, if needed.

Important: Be aware that registering for classes incurs a financial obligation. Payment is due for all online classes prior to the first day of class. See "Pay for Courses" later in this guide for more information. If you decide to drop a class, please call Enrollment Services at 855.804.7193.
