Spring 2020 Information for Current Residents

Staying on CAMPUS:

If you need/want to live on campus for the rest of the semester:

    • Check-in by completing the OrgSync Form so Residence Life knows you plan to remain.
    • Familiarize yourself with the COIVD-19 info page .
    • Read all emails and documents posted in your halls.
    • Keep your room clean. Disinfectant and paper towels are available at your Residence Hall front desk. Custodial services will continue to clean common areas and community bathrooms in the Residence Halls.
    • Desk Attendants will be available a limited number of hours to assist with mail/packages.
    • RAs will be available by calling the DUTY PHONE.

The Caf remains open and offering a new GRAB-N-GO customer service approach to comply with protocols from Mesa County Health and the State of Colorado.  Students must respect CMU’s social distancing goals and COVID-19 safety protocols that are posted outside the Caf.  You are encouraged to take your food to any number of places across campus, where you can spread out to be safe. Hours of operation will be posted outside the Caf.  If you have special dietary needs contact Shelly Duran, General Manager of Sodexo.

Moving Out?

Residents,

President Foster recently received clarification from the state that addresses students moving out of dorm rooms.

In addition to the above essential functions and personnel, postsecondary institutions are permitted to allow students to return for the limited purpose of clearing out their dorm rooms. Institutions should schedule such visits in a manner to comply with social distancing requirements.”

You are welcome to come to campus and vacate your student’s room.  If you need to change your scheduled move out time, please sign up for a new move out time below.  When you are on campus, we ask that you follow the guidelines for social distancing, covering your mouth and nose when coughing, and wash your hands frequently.  If you or anyone in your family is ill, please do not come to campus.  Our priority will always be safety.

We understand some of you will want to move out of your residence hall before the end of the semester. Scheduling these move out times is an important social responsibility and helps maintain proper distancing. Please click on the hall that you reside in and sign up for a move-out time slot. This planning will reduce the chance of spreading COVID-19. Scheduling this check-out time slot DOES NOT officially check you out of your room. Please complete the express check-out form to complete your official check-out.
