Note: This is just a list of session dates. Availability of all sessions is not guaranteed. To view the current and most accurate sessions available, please log in to MAVzone when registration for these dates goes live for Summer/Fall entering students on February 15th.

 This date is reserved for Colorado Mesa University Merit Scholarship recipients. These scholarships include our Academic Achievement Scholarship, President's Scholarship, and Distinguished Scholars Scholarship.

* Veteran's Sessions include an information session for veterans and/or their dependents attending Colorado Mesa University. This session is hosted by our Veteran's Benefits and Services Coordinator, Amanda Herron and her staff.  

** This session is for students attending the Montrose Campus. The session does not include registering for classes. Contact the Montrose Campus directly at 970-249-7009 for assistance with advising and course registration. There is no fee for participating in this session.



Students needing to complete any needed assessments, need to complete them prior to registering for an orientation session. The need for assessment is determined from your standardized test scores (ACT or SAT) and/or your academic major. Learn more about CMU's testing requirements.

To register for an Orientation session, students should:

  1. Log in to MAVzone. (Upon acceptance you should have received email instructions on how to set up your MAVzone account. If you become locked out of the system, please call the IT Help Desk at 970.248.2111 to reset your password.)
  2. Go to the 'Next Steps' tab and find the 'Orientation' channel.
  3. Choose a program date from the drop down menu.
  4. Confirm the major you intend to pursue at Colorado Mesa University from the drop down menu. (If you are undecided, simply select 'Undeclared'.)
