CMU Theatre season opens with Rodgers and Hammerstein's A Grand Night for Singing

CMU's 2017-18 Theatre and Dance season will open with a tribute to some of the most classic songs from Broadway's history. A Grand Night for Singing features a treasury of 37 Rodgers and Hammerstein songs.
Three decades after Rodgers and Hammerstein’s final success, The Sound of Music, this collection of their timeless musical treasures opened the 1994 Broadway season. With songs from lesser-known works such as State Fair, Pipe Dream and Flower Drum Song as well as from hits such as Oklahoma!, The King and I and South Pacific, this musical will help you to reimagine the songs you love. Discover the continued relevance and grandeur of Broadway’s most famous duo in this musical journey through the cycle of love.
A Grand Night for Singing will be performed September 28-30 and October 5-7 at 7:30pm with additional matinees on October 1 and 7 at 2pm. All performances will be in the Robinson Theatre. Tickets are $21 for adults, $17 for seniors, faculty and staff, and $8 for students. On September 28 and October 5, CMU students, faculty and staff may receive one $5 ticket with a current MAVcard in person at ticketing locations.
Tickets are available online at coloradomesa.edu/mosstickets, at the University Center Information Desk or at the Moss Box Office 90 minutes before any performance.
