Guest Artists Seventh Roadrunner Ensemble

CMU's Department of Music will begin its 2017-18 season with a guest artist recital featuring Seventh Roadrunner Ensemble with CMU clarinet and saxophone professor Jun Watabe. The ensemble will perform on Sunday, September 10 at 4pm in the Moss Performing Arts Center Love Recital Hall.
Seventh Roadrunner Ensemble was founded in 2010 by pianist Andrew O’Brien, violist/violinist Katherine Shields and clarinetist Brian Viliunas. It is a Chamber Music American ensemble member, has performed in Arizona and Colorado, and serves as Artistic Directors of the Silverton Fall Color Chamber Music Fest in Silverton, Colorado. In 2013, Seventh Roadrunner premiered works of American composers Zachary Bramble and Bill Douglas. Seventh Roadrunner Ensemble is on the Teaching Artists Roster of the Arizona Commission on the Arts. The September 10 concert is their third appearance at Colorado Mesa University.
The ensemble will play pieces for viola, clarinet, saxophone and piano in various combinations. Tickets for the concert are $17 for adults, $12 for seniors and $5 for students. They are at the Moss Box Office beginning 90 minutes before the performance.
