Chroma and Monochrome through Vida en Movimiento

The Colorado Mesa University Art & Design Department presents Chroma and Monochrome through Vida en Movimiento, the first of four exhibits featuring artwork from seniors graduating from the BFA Studio Art program, in the downtown art gallery from February 1-28.

Chroma and Monochrome… will showcase the artwork of Mitchell States and Elisa Uribe, who use mediums including porcelain, bronze and steel to explore the light, space and energy of the natural world.

Chroma and Monochrome… can be viewed at 437CO, CMU’s art gallery in downtown Grand Junction. As part of their “Senior Seminar” course, students coordinate the senior exhibits as preparation for future professional careers in visual arts.

437CO is located at 437 Colorado Avenue in Grand Junction, CO. Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday 12-5pm and admission is free. On Friday, February 3 from 5-9pm there will be a public reception to view the exhibit and meet the artists, with an Artist Talk scheduled for 5:30pm. Wine from Carlson Vineyards and beer from Kannah Creek Brewing Company will be available for purchase at the reception. For more information, call the Art & Design Department at (970) 248-1833.
