Student Showcase 2016
The seventh annual Student Showcase is an opportunity for undergraduate students at CMU and WCCC to demonstrate their work to the community and build lasting relationships.

Student Showcase highlights undergraduate innovation

The Student Showcase returns to Colorado Mesa University this spring. The event, now in its seventh year, enables undergraduate students to share their work with peers, faculty and the community. Completed applications to participate in this year’s showcase must be submitted by March 1. The Student Showcase will be held on CMU's main campus on April 29.

Students from all fields of study are encouraged to participate in the showcase through scholarly and/or creative activities demonstrated in diverse formats, including artistic exhibits, paper presentations, posters, readings, demonstrations, performances or streaming media. Each project is sponsored by a faculty advisor who reviews an abstract written by the student, which is then published in a professional-quality booklet. During the Student Showcase, faculty judges evaluate presentations based on a rubric with specific criteria for each category.

Ideally, participation will establish new collaborations and boost resumes or graduate school applications for the students involved. Students currently enrolled at CMU or Western Colorado Community College and students who graduated at the end of the fall 2015 semester are eligible to apply to participate in this year’s event.
