Cheesy portrait

A word from the president

Homecoming week may be over, but there’s a lot going on at Colorado Mesa University, especially in the classroom. This is the point in the semester — between midterms and finals — that a student’s academic fortune is made or lost. Thanksgiving break will be here before we know it, and the end of the semester shortly after that. Important foundations are being laid, and it’s our job to communicate to students that it’s time to really buckle down and focus.

With so many ways to communicate with this generation, it can be difficult to find the one that really works. Some prefer email, while others spend all their time on social media. Please take a moment to find out the best way to stay in touch with your students.

CMU is bolstering its own social media presence in an effort to better connect with current students, prospective students, alumni and the community. I encourage you to follow the university on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and even Snapchat (the username is ColoradoMesaU). It’s one more way to keep up with CMU’s current events. You can also help us amplify our content and let everyone know about the great work being done by our students, faculty and staff.
