At Colorado Mesa University, the Office of Distance Education and the Center for Teacher Education (CTE) work in partnership with school districts located in the University's 14-county service region to serve the needs of teachers, administrators, and staff.

Colorado Mesa University has partnered with Virtual Education Software, inc. (VESi) to offer online continuing education opportunities for teachers. These self-paced courses have been approved for CMU continuing education graduate credit, and provide interactive instruction on strategies for teaching students, all at a reasonable cost. For more information about VESi, click here.

Why choose to take an online VESi course?

  • All courses are self-paced, so you can study and learn on your own time.
  • A wide variety of course subjects to choose from.
  • Credits earned can be used for re-licensure, salary advancement, and professional development.
  • Courses are graded on a Pass/Fail basis. To receive a grade of "Pass", registrants must receive a grade of 70% or better on all assignments.
