Michael Reeder is a physician and the Acting Director of the Monfort Family Human Performance Lab at Colorado Mesa University. He initially completed an emergency medicine residency which was followed by a primary care sports medicine fellowship in Albany, N.Y. Reeder practiced sports medicine and emergency medicine for twenty-five years, including time as a Team Physician at Colorado Mesa University. His practice has included athletes and patients of every age and activity, from youth leagues to Olympic athletes. In addition, during that time he was involved in teaching undergraduate students at CMU, medical students, family practice residents and primary care sports medicine fellows.

His special interests include teaching, musculoskeletal medicine, injury prevention, clinical physiological and biomechanical evaluation of the athlete, exercise as medicine, nutrition and successful aging.

In his free time, he and his wife, Terri, enjoy spending time with a growing family, cycling, gardening and enjoying western Colorado.
