This week we introduced the campus to Scout, a web-based tool that is helping CMU check for COVID-19 symptoms. Be sure to begin using this tool each day and make sure to get your "green screen" passport to campus.

Watching students arrive back on campus this week has really shown that all the hard work and planning is paying off. They are walking, biking, boarding and are together once again. If you missed it, ASG President Beau Flores and Student Trustee Amara Hobbs joined forces to show you what to do (and not do) as you get used to all these new campus protocols.

In this week's Safe Together, Strong Together Facebook Live information session Lucy Graham, PhD, joined Amy Bronson, EdD, and John Marshall for an update about testing. CMU also hosted a Telephone Town Hall last week, a recording is available if you missed it. Now that students, faculty and staff are arriving, we ask that you remain in the region and eliminate travel beyond Mesa, Delta, Montrose and Garfield counties. We have posted travel guidance to help everyone understand what we all need to do to remain safe.

There is no doubt COVID-19 will occur on campus. We launched a new dashboard to keep campus informed on how many tests CMU has completed, how many came back positive and the overall virus prevalence on campus.

We know student-athletes were disappointed by recent news that fall sports would be delayed until spring. While not the outcome we had hoped for, CMU is optimistic that athletics can continue in the future and provide a meaningful experience for athletes and fans.

So, stay vigilant and stay safe and let's celebrate that we are here today!
