Dear Mavericks,

Throughout the pandemic CMU has worked closely with local, state and national organizations and from the beginning collaborated with Grand Junction partners to coordinate a response that supports our community. As we developed and implemented strategies, we wanted to ensure the larger community had access to our resources and knowledge including our on-campus testing site.

We have seen a steady increase in usage of the testing site by our campus community and an even greater testing demand from our broader community. To ensure access to testing, we will reopen the drive-through testing site in the Bunting Hall parking lot on Monday, October 6. Please read about the changes to the services offered at the two on-campus testing sites.

Walk-up testing site:

  • Located next to the Student Wellness Center on Orchard Avenue just west of 12th Street.
  • Will only offer rapid tests (turnaround time is approximately one hour).
  • Rapid tests will only be available to the CMU campus community (students, faculty and staff).
  • Hours of operation, starting Oct. 6: Monday-Friday from 8am-12pm.
  • CMU students, faculty and staff will use primarybio.com/a/cmu to sign up for a rapid test.

Drive-through testing site:

  • Located in the parking lot north of Bunting Hall, accessible from North Avenue and Cannell Avenue or 7th Street and Bunting Avenue.
  • Will only offer nasal swab PCR tests (turnaround time is approximately 24-48 hours).
  • PCR tests will be available for the CMU campus community and the broader community.
  • Hours of operation, starting Oct. 6: Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm and Saturday from 8am-12pm. Every third Friday hours will be shortened to 8am-12pm.
  • CMU students, faculty and staff will use primarybio.com/a/cmu to sign up for a PCR test.
  • Community members will use primarybio.com/l/cdphe to sign up for a PCR test.

We are committed to supporting and providing safety resources to campus and the broader community.
