CMU Community,

As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday break we are thankful for your continued commitment to practicing health and safety measures that are important to mitigating the spread of COVID-19 on campus. As you make holiday plans we recommend that everyone consider implementing additional precautions. We encourage all students, faculty and staff to get tested prior to leaving for the holiday break, especially for those who are traveling or planning to gather with family and friends. We also ask that you test upon your return to campus prior to Nov. 29.

Drive-through Testing Site

Please utilize the drive-through testing facility located in the parking lot north of Bunting Hall. This site is open to both on-campus and off-campus community members.

  • Nasal swab PCR testing
  • Hours of operation: Monday-Friday (closed on Thanksgiving) from 8am-4pm and Saturday from 8am-12pm
  • CMU students, faculty and staff will use primarybio.com/a/cmu to sign up for a PCR test at this location. When signing up, please select "CMU Drive Through - PCR Only” as your location.

COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics

In addition to practicing universal precautions, vaccines remain an effective way to prevent serious illness from COVID-19 and can reduce the risk of getting and spreading the virus. CMU will offer on-campus COVID-19 vaccine clinics from November 19-21. Boosters will be available to all eligible (18+) at each of the vaccine clinics. Walk-ups are welcome but appointments are encouraged.

Commencement

Due to current COVID-19 levels in Grand Junction, new protocols will be observed for the December Commencement ceremonies. Visit the commencement website for details.

CMU Live on Facebook

Tune in to the CMU Live on Thursday, Nov. 18 at 2pm with President Marshall and Dr. Bronson. They'll discuss campus safety holiday measures and answer questions at the end of the session.

If you do plan to travel for the holidays, please review the CDC guidelines for safer travel. Thank you for doing your part, Mavericks. We wish you a safe and happy holiday break.

Thank you,

The Safety Team
