As you have seen in President Foster's messages regarding CMU’s Safe Together - Strong Together initiative, we are collaborating with a team of health specialists from Mesa County Public Health, medical experts from local hospitals, and working from recommendations outlined in the Governor's Executive Orders. This approach is meant to ensure a safe return to campus that is based on science and medical best practices. Through this work we are developing plans for our residential community to be able to live together, while mitigating the spread of COVID-19.   Move-in will look different than any other year at CMU, and we need your help to make it successful.  As we get closer to August, we will have more clear directions for you. For now, we want you to enjoy summer and know we are here working for you!

General guidelines for EVERYONE’s safety:

  • Move-in will be spread out, beginning August 2-August 16.
  • You will need to RESERVE your move-in date/time. The request form will be posted within the next few weeks.
  • Move-in times will be limited to 2 hours.
  • Plan on only bringing 2 guests to campus to help you move in. More will not be allowed into the residence hall.
  • We are finalizing testing protocols prior to move-in. More to come.

Stay safe and stay healthy!

Best wishes,

Jody Diers
