CMU Career Services loves working with local businesses and employers to help offer and connect students to potential internships. To post your internship opportunity, follow the instructions below (for academic credit or non-credit).

Step 1

Post your internship in Handshake

  1. Create an employer Handshake account

Creating an account and posting in Handshake is free for employers.

  2. Post the internship opportunity in Handshake

When you post the internship in Handshake CMU students will be able to view and apply for the internship. If you already have an applicant tracking system, you can still post your internship in Handshake and have students apply within your external site.

Step 2

Reach out to Career Services

  1. Email Career Services to let us know you’ve posted an internship

    [email protected]

  2. Tell what type of student you’re looking to hire

Let us know what type of degree or major fits with your internship opportunity and we’ll send emails to students in those programs.

Step 3

Connect with a Faculty Internship Coordinator

  1. We will provide you with a list of Faculty Internship Coordinators

  2. Reach out to faculty members from the list

Contact the prospective faculty that would be most helpful with finding interested students.
