The Colorado Capital Conference is a unique opportunity for Colorado residents to interact with the nation's leaders in Washington, D.C. In an ever-changing political environment, the Colorado Capital Conference provides key insights into how the U.S. Government works. The conference is designed to give participants an enhanced understanding of the federal legislative process, as well as how to positively effect public policy.

100 participants from Colorado who represent a diverse cross-section of the state will be selected through an application process (applications will be reviewed jointly by U.S. Senator Michael Bennet and U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper, Colorado Mesa University, University of Colorado and Colorado State University).

The application is now open for the 2024 Colorado Capital Conference. Application closes March 22, 2024, applicants will be notified of acceptance by April 18.

Important Dates

Conference dates: June 11-13, 2024

Application opens February 5, 2024

Application closes: March 22, 2024

Acceptance notification: Participants will be notified of their acceptance no later than April 18, 2024

Cost

Registration fee of $750 for persons selected to attend the conference.

  • Monies received are used to offset cost of meals, facility use, transportation, etc.
  • Participants are responsible for hotel accommodations and airfare.
  • Group rates for travel and lodging will be available but the costs are the responsibility of the participants.
  • Guests are welcome to participate in evening events for an additional fee.
