MBA Program Admission Requirements

The MBA program offers open enrollment, so applications are accepted on an ongoing basis for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

Applicants for the MBA program must submit:

  • Submit an Application for Graduate Studies to Colorado Mesa University, Department of Business, Attn: Annie Shoberg, 1100 North Ave., Grand Junction, CO 81501
  • $50 Application Fee (include with application)
  • Possess an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or better from the most recent 60 credit hours of course work earned towards a bachelor degree and a GPA of 3.0 or better from prior graduate work.
  • Submit official transcripts to the Colorado Mesa University, Department of Business, Attn: Annie Shoberg, 1100 North Ave., Grand Junction, CO 81501.
  • Submit official GRE test scores (Graduate Record Examination Test) or GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) to Colorado Mesa University, Department of Business, Attn: Annie Shoberg, 1100 North Ave., Grand Junction, CO 81501. Register at www.ets.org/gre to schedule an appointment for the GRE.
  • Two recommendations: one professional and one academic. Please email Annie Shoberg at ashoberg@coloradomesa.edu with the names and email addresses of the evaluators you are asking to do the recommendation. Ms. Shoberg will email the recommendation form to your evaluators.
  • 750 word essay: indicating reasons for seeking a Master of Business Administration degree including professional and/or career goals and pertinent past work experience.  The minimum length is 750 words, submitted as MS Word document with 1” margins, 12 pt. font and a cover page which includes the name of applicant and date. Please submit the personal essay to MBA Liaison, Annie Shoberg, at ashoberg@coloradomesa.edu.

Admission to the MBA program is open to anyone holding the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree, in any field of study, from an accredited institution.
