How to start a Business internship
Do you want to gain professional experience, earn school credit, and receive a paycheck? An internship can help you accomplish all three!
What you need to know:
- Internships are available to Juniors and Seniors
- Credits count toward upper division electives
- 1 credit = 45 internship hours
- 3 credits = 135 internship hours
- 6 credits = 270 internship hours
- 9 credits = 400 internship hours (requires special approval)
- The course is online and consists of bi-weekly journals and five assignments to be completed by the end of the semester; workload is manageable so you can fully experience the internship
- Internships can be located anywhere
- Offered Fall, Spring, and Summer in 8-16 week options
- Students must pay for the internship as they would any other class. (i.e. a three-credit hour internship costs the same as a three-credit class; and a nine-credit hour internship is equal to the cost of three, three-credit hour classes).
Students can reach out to the internship coordinator with any questions about the program or if they would like more information about the program.
