CMU's COVID-19 response team is reviewing the temporary Stay at Home Order for Colorado issued by the Governor and will issue guidance to the campus community. At this time campus is open with some changes to facility operations to abide by a Colorado public health order and CMU's social distancing goals. As always, CMU Custodial Services is prioritizing sanitation on our campuses. The university has added staffing in the custodial department and increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting cross campus. The university following CDC and Public Health Department recommendations regarding recommended disinfectants to specifically protect against COVID-19. 

  • Administrative and academic buildings All CMU administrative and academic buildings are closed for the duration of the “stay at home” order issued by Governor Polis. The University Center will be open on a limited basis only to facilitate dining services. Updated March 25

  • Campus Dining Services: CMU and Sodexo are committed to providing reliable food service for students who live on campus. The Caf will maintain the existing Grab 'N Go concept. Updated March 25

  • Residence Halls will remain open only to students who need to remain on campus. On-campus students should review and abide by the Governor's stay at home order. Questions can be directed to 970.248.1536 or

  • Little Mavericks Learning Center will remain open to accommodate the children of essential workers, first responders and exempted CMU essential personnel. Updated March 25

Public buildings across campus are disinfected every morning, afternoon and following closing – and an additional daily cleaning has been added for a total of 3-5 cleanings daily. Updated 3.12.20
