About Me

I was born in Chuuk, Micronesia and I grew up in Honolulu, Hawai'i. After graduating from the Waipahu High School, I decided to pursue higher education at Colorado Mesa University. I studied business administration with concentrations in business management and hospitality management. I chose CMU because of the location, the rugby team, and the quality of the business program. During my time at CMU I was a student athlete as well as a member of many clubs an organizations. After graduation, I worked in the hospitality industry for three years in Grand Junction and quickly realized that my passion is with CMU and helping prospective students find a home here at the university.

Favorite Thing About Grand Junction

The sense of the community is always welcoming to all. The Grand Valley and its surroundings are breathtaking with lots of different outdoor activities to do all year round. My favorite part about Grand Junction are the different types of places to eat—all within a 10-minute drive. I also enjoy the recreational activities I get to do with my friends such as hiking, biking, floating the Colorado River and exploring the Grand Mesa and the Colorado National Monument. It is my home away from home.
