The GIMP and I

Photograph correction and processing was a major area of research in the early 1990's. The ability to correct flaws in a photograph was important for commercial and military reasons. One tool that was developed in these years was the GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP). This tool has grown to be a reasonable competitor to Adobe Photoshop. Mr. Castleton will demonstrate the ability to correct photos, create waving flags, and create special effect videos. During the demonstrations interesting computer science, mathematical and statistical uses will be illuminated.
