Are you an IP Criminal?

IP (Intellectual Property) rights have changed drastically in the last few years. Behaviors that in the past were legal have become illegal. And these changes are not just going to catch the illegal music downloads. Copying portraits, making backups and even discussing how to make backups runs into IP "piracy" issues. If you do not know what the DMCA changed, you run the risk of criminal activity. The books Free Culture by Lawrence Lessig and Free Software, Free Society selected essays of Richard M. Stallman edited by Joshua Gay make the case for a different approach that could change the world as we know it today, without waiting for legislative change. And they have some history of success (GNU/Linux and Creative Commons). These two books have implications for all Artists and Scientists.
