USA Cycling Collegiate and Para Road National Championships

The Greater Grand Junction Sports Commission will host USA Cycling athletes and supporters in our area this spring. We look forward to catching some exhilarating races!
The weekend consists of four different events throughout the Grand Junction region:
April 27—Para Time Trial
This includes three different classifications of Para cyclists: hand-cycling, cycling and tricycle.
April 28—Para and Collegiate Time Trial
The Collegiate team time trial begins in the morning with four different classes: Men’s Club, Women’s Club, Men’s Varsity and Women’s Varsity. The final two Para time trials—Cycling and Blind and Visually Impaired—will be in the middle of the day. Friday wraps up with the four classes of Collegiate Individual time trials.
April 29—Para and Collegiate Road Race
Saturday kicks off with three classes of Para riders: cycling, hand-cycling and tricycle. These will be followed by the Blind and Visually Impaired, Women’s Club and Women’s Varsity road races. The day ends with the Men’s Club and Men’s Varsity races.
April 30—Para, Collegiate and Open Criterium
The first three rides of the day are the Men’s 3, 4 and 5; Men’s Masters; and the Kids/Family ride. Learn more about the open classes.
The competitive portion of the Criterium kicks off with Cycling and Hand Cycling, followed by Men’s Club, Women’s Club, Men’s Varsity and Women’s Varsity. The event wraps up with the Women’s 1–5 and Men’s 1–2 races.
