Business & Industry Safety and Compliance classes for Summer 2013

Register for Safety and Compliance Classes

This 10-Hour course will introduce participants to OSHA policies, procedures, standards and general industry safety and health principles. Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive an OSHA 10-hr General Industry card.
The 30-hr course is a comprehensive safety program designed for involved in general industry. Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive an OSHA 30-hr General Industry card.
This course is for employees trained in hazardous waste operations or who are exposed or potentially exposed to hazardous substances or health hazards and are required to attend a yearly refresher course as mandated by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120. Verification of completion of 24-hr or 40-hr class required. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive an HAZWOPER Refresher card.
This operations level HAZWOPPER course covers issues on hazard recognition at work sites. Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive a 24-hr HAZWOPER card. Manuals will be provided.
This course is specifically designed for employees who work with hazardous materials or respond to hazardous spills in the work location. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a 40-hr HAZWOPPER card.
This course is designed for all employees who are likely to witness or discover a hazardous materials release and will be responsible for initiating the appropriate response sequence. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive an 8-hr First Responder card.
In this 4-hr course, attendees will learn proper Confined Space Entry techniques. Applicable OSHA standards (1910.146 and 1926, Subpart C) will be covered thoroughly. Topics include confined spaces, permit-required confined spaces, PPE, physical and atmospheric hazards, air monitoring, and permits. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a Confined Space Entry Competent Person card.
EnCana's EHS culture - Value-Driven Safety course, the environmental courses (air, water, waste modules) are designed for operations staff working in field locations and for those whose job duties require them to visit field locations and perform work, including technical work, in support of those locations. The course provides basic awareness level training. Four-hour class includes the EnCana EHS culture - Value-Driven Safety module and the Environmental Air, Water and Waste modules. Students will receive an EHS-PAL completion certificate and a hard hat decal sticker.
Prepare your staff with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. This course covers first aid, adult CPR, AED (automated external defibrillator) and BBP (Blood borne Pathogens Training: Preventing Disease Transmission) training. This portion meets OSHA's revised Blood borne Pathogens Standard and teaches participants how blood borne pathogens are spread, how to prevent exposures and what to do if exposed to infectious materials.
