Student Diversity and Mentoring

Students standing in quadStudent Advocacy and Diversity

The Student Diversity and Advocacy office works alongside the Student Services Office to support a diverse student body of Colorado Mesa University. This office specializes in problem solving and helping students to become better informed and grow as adults, whether these decisions involve classes or any other aspects of university life. Student Diversity and Advocacy provides for students and faculty the experience of interacting and learning together to respect a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds. This offers an arena for students to have a greater appreciation and understanding of cultural diversity and to be prepared to take on leadership roles in society.

Mentoring

The Mentoring Program encompasses many phases within a student’s growth at Colorado Mesa University. Professional mentors engage the student(s) in everything from student advocacy and registration, to bridging the gap between faculty/student relationships, and helping students work through the college transition process. The Mentoring Program aims to assist CMU students in achieving a successful college experience.
