Advisor Information

Advisors to student clubs and organizations have the tremendous opportunity to foster student development during a pivotal time in students' lives. While serving in their mentoring role, advisors can aid students in the process of developing their identity and enhancing leadership, time management, and communication skills. Years after graduating, students can typically recall important life lessons they have learned from club advisors.

In addition to enhancing student learning and development, advisors are vital to the success of student clubs by providing continuity as student leadership changes annually. Advisors are also crucial by informing students of Colorado Mesa University's protocol and guidelines. Lastly, advisors can help clubs adhere to its mission and purpose.

More detailed information for advisors can be found in the 2011-2012 Advisor Manual.

Just as advisors are a resource for club members, the Director of Student Life serves as a source of support for advisors. Advisors with questions regarding campus policies or club management should contact Breanne Meier at 970-248-1250 or bmeier@coloradomesa.edu
