Spanish Clubs

Students have the opportunity of participating in two clubs with cultural connections to Spanish:

  • Pura Vida is an active club that encourages the development of Spanish language skills and the understanding of the Hispanic Culture.  The club participates in many activities throughout the year, including dances, and special events, such as "El día de los muertos" and "El día de las Américas".
  • La Raza is an organization that is focused toward individuals who share an interest in learning more about the Latino culture. The primary purpose is to promote and enhance opportunities, for members and others committed to furthering their education.

La Raza is a non-profit organization committed to providing a positive environment for support, encouragement, and education assistance to our members. We encourage all students of diverse backgrounds to get involved and help promote cultural awareness and diversity for Mesa State College.
