2017 Showcase Winners

The Student Showcase event highlights student accomplishments completed over the past year under the guidance of a faculty member. Nearly all majors on campus are represented.

Showcase presentations are open to the campus community and the public. Projects range from posters in the sciences and professional programs, to theatre, music, and dance performances, to oral presentations in languages and literature, social and behavioral sciences, and teacher education, to fine art exhibits, to engineering demonstrations and more. The best presentation from each category will be announced at the awards ceremony.

Opening Session

Alpa Chi Presents "The Dilemma of Differentiation: An Interactive Session about Group Identity, Stereotypes, and Tolerance"

1pm: University Center, 2nd Floor, West Ballroom

Join us for a special interactive session organized by CMU's chapter of Alpha Chi, the National College Honor Society.

Showcase Sessions (judged)

231 presented by 538 students. Projects are organized into 38 sessions; the best project from each session will be determined by a team of judges, consisting of at least one faculty member and one community volunteer.

Special Exhibits (not competing in judged sessions)

A total of 10 special exhibits featuring student work form the Center for Teacher Education, the Department of Art and Design, Archuleta Engineering Center, and the Maverick Innovation Center.

Awards Ceremony

Join us for light refreshments, a slideshow of photos of Showcase presentations taken that day, and the announcements of the winning project in each session.
4:30: University Center, 2nd Floor, Meyer Ballroom


Free parking in main campus lots beginning at 12:30pm.
