Degree Awarding and Diploma Information

Spring and Summer 2011 Graduates:

Choice of MSC or CMU Diploma

For a limited time, spring and summer 2011 graduates may choose the Mesa State College or Colorado Mesa University diploma. All students who petitioned to graduate in these two semester may log in to the MAVzone Student Academics tab and submit the requested information. Spring 2011 graduates have until July 15. Summer 2011 graduates have until September 15. Those who do not submit a preference will be mailed the Mesa State College diploma. Those graduating after August 10, 2011, will receive Colorado Mesa University diploma.

General Information

For students who petition to graduate, your record will be reviewed to verify completion of degree requirements by the date listed in the table below. Please allow the full time frame for review.

Degree Requirements Met - If the Registrar's Office has proof of successful completion of all degree requirements, the degree will show as awarded on your unofficial transcript by the date below. You can view your unofficial transcript in MAVzone. The MSC/CMU transcript is the official document to verify degree completion. If you need a copy of your transcript prior to diploma printing, please request a copy of your official transcript and be sure to check "Hold for Degree Statement." Your diploma will be mailed according to the schedule below.
Degree Requirements Not Met - The Registrar's Office will mail a letter to your permanent address outlining the outstanding degree requirements. In most circumstances this is due to incomplete grades, missing official transcripts from recent transfer work, missing courses, or unacceptable grades in required courses. As it is also important to us that you complete your degree, please work with the your advisor and notify the Registrar's Office of your plans to finalize degree completion.

**Students who attend the ceremony will receive their diploma cover as they cross the commencement platform.

To verify your degree has been awarded, you may view your unofficial transcript via MAVzone. The MSC/CMU transcript is the official document to verify degree completion. If you need a copy of your official transcript prior to diploma printing, please be sure to check "Hold for Degree Statement."

Duplicate Diploma / Colorado Mesa University Diploma Reprints
