WCCC Summer Camps in Full Swing

Registration for remaining sessions still open

Do you know a middle or high school student in the community that wants to become a better cook or musician? How about a student that loves computers, coding or building things? Maybe you know a student that likes to complain about being bored and just wants to have some fun before school starts up again?

Colorado Mesa University and Western Colorado Community College (WCCC) are offering the youth of western Colorado a wide variety of hands-on, experiential summer camps to support their growth and development during summer break through the WCCC Community Education Center. WCCC summer camps give students an opportunity to explore future career options, experience hands-on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) projects, jumpstart learning technical skills, develop strong personal skills, gain necessary certifications for babysitting, experience diverse food, art and music from around the world.

Weekly summer camps for middle school and high school students are being held June 5–August 4, 2023.

Fifth graders going into the sixth grade in the fall of 2023 are eligible for middle school camps. Eighth graders going into the ninth grade in fall 2023 are eligible for high school camps.

Students who complete one or more summer camps and one or more concurrent courses (college level courses taken while enrolled in high school) on a WCCC/CMU campus during the school year may be eligible for a $2,000 scholarship each year for their first two years of college at CMU and WCCC.

Spaces are still available in many of the remaining camps and you can enroll online or over the phone by calling 970.255.2800.
