CMU’s Mesa Experimental Theatre season continues with playful and intelligent comedy, Constellations
CMU’s Department of Theatre Arts will present an exquisite play with a powerful undertow of emotion. Constellations, by Nick Payne, will play Feb. 9-11 at 7:30pm in the Moss Performing Arts Center's Mesa Experimental Theatre. The play will be directed by senior theatre major Cody Rees.
In this spellbinding, romantic journey, Roland, a bee-keeper, meets Marianne, a witty woman who works in quantum cosmology. She suggests a theory of the universe in which at any given moment, several different outcomes could exist simultaneously. This theory is played out as we see multiple ways in which the couple’s encounters could have turned out as a result of simple factors. This beautiful two person play raises thoughtful questions about the difference between free will and destiny. The play is rated PG-13.
Tickets for Constellations are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors, faculty/staff and $6 for students and are available by calling the box office at 970.248.1604.
