Welcome to Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction, Colorado! The largest town in Western Colorado, Grand Junction, is located about 30 miles from the Utah border and is at the base of the Grand Mesa, one of the world's largest flat top mountains known for its many reservoirs and abundance of opportunity for outdoor sports. To the south is the Colorado National Monument, a series of beautiful red rock canyons, and the Uncompahgre Plateau. Within two to three hours are other attractions such as the San Juan mountain range, the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Glenwood Springs, and Telluride. Grand Junction is a friendly town that is experiencing steady growth. With a population of just under 60,000, the surrounding economy depends mainly on ranching, oil and gas, agriculture, fruit farming, mining, and tourism.

Colorado Mesa University is one of Colorado's fastest growing institutions and currently has over 9,480 students. Additionally, many new buildings are continuously being added to our campus including: academic buildings, recreation center, residence halls, University Center, and a renovated library.
