Sustainable Agriculture

CMU Montrose will offer coursework for the AS in Agricultural Science and AAS in Sustainable Agriculture beginning Fall 2013.

The agriculture programs curriculum focuses on the principles behind the production of food and fiber; the process of selecting production practices based on natural resources available, their use, and the producer’s interest; and an emphasis in sound farm business applications. The A.A.S. degree program includes a cooperative work / internship experience for on-the-job preparation prior to degree completion. Graduates are qualified for employment in a variety of positions associated with agriculture, including self-employment, crop and livestock operations, wholesale and retail management, agribusiness support services, nursery operations, and agricultural education.
